Crowhurst Cricket Club
Sewage treatment plant

The cricket club in Crowhurst
required the installation of a new
sewage treatment plant and
approached Rota Environmental
Services to discuss the options
available.

The major issues to all concerned were firstly cost but also long term running
and very importantly environmental issues. The discussion process became
more involved because the approval of the Parish Council was needed at all
stages.

The unit selected was a 6 person as it was calculated that this would be
sufficient to deal with demand when spread over the week. By opting for our
recommended unit, ongoing maintenance was an absolute minimum and the unit
would only need emptying every 3 / 4 years. Through close working on site visits,
a position was selected that would not affect the area visually and the discharge
could run straight into an open watercourse, thus ensuring that the surrounding
environment was not affected in any way.
